Daron Malakian

Daron Malakian, second voice / guitarist of System of a Down and lead vocals on Scars on Broadway was born on July 18, 1975, Los Angeles, his father (Armenian-Iraqi) is Vartan Malakian and his mother (Armenian-Iranian) Zepur Malakian

. His cousin was one of the biggest factors to approach the metal genre, as he played a recording of the popular band "KISS" is interested in making a little to the genre. Serj Tankian

The lead singer of System of a Down Serj Tankian, who has Armenian origins, born in Beirut (Lebanon capital) and born on August 21, 1967, his father was Khatchadour Tankian while his mother Alice Tankian. The early life of Serj have not been at all easy because he had to move from Armenia to Lebanon and then from Lebanon to USA, both conflict at that time. With just 7 years old Armenian came to a school located in Los Angeles, where he came to know that his colleagues would later in SOAD, Daron Malakian and Shavo Odadjian.

Origin of the band "SOAD"

System of a Down, also known by its abbreviation "SOAD" has been one of the alternative metal bands with more success in the XXI century.
This group is made up of 4 members: Serj Tankian (lead vocals), Daron Malakian (second voice and guitar), Shavo Odadjian (bass) and John Dolmayan (drums); all with Armenian descent but was founded in the US in 1995.
System of a Down has 5 albums, the first titled like the name of "System of a Down" band in 1998, then followed "Toxicity" in 2001 which is one of the most successful songs (Chop Suey ), following it is "Steal This Album!" created the following year and finally "Mezmerize / Hypnotize" in 2004-2006 published in 2 parts with many positive reviews.
