Serj Tankian

The lead singer of System of a Down Serj Tankian, who has Armenian origins, born in Beirut (Lebanon capital) and born on August 21, 1967, his father was Khatchadour Tankian while his mother Alice Tankian. The early life of Serj have not been at all easy because he had to move from Armenia to Lebanon and then from Lebanon to USA, both conflict at that time. With just 7 years old Armenian came to a school located in Los Angeles, where he came to know that his colleagues would later in SOAD, Daron Malakian and Shavo Odadjian.
The beginning of his musical career began from 1994 to 2006 (step from the side) which then wanted to start taking new life and start a solo career. In his short time he managed to release 3 albums: Elect the Dead (2006), Imperfect Harmonies (2010) and finally Harakiri (2011), all these titles have gender as rock, jazz, electronic and others.
Undoubtedly one of his greatest inspirations to compose their songs has been the Armenian genocide, in addition to changing your lifestyle and way of thinking.
You could say that Tankian is a genius and it's not just musical composer, it has also been noted in other artistic areas such as artist, painter, philosopher, writer, essayist, poet, novelist and actor.
